Micro-Folie, a Digital Museum

Multimedia and interactive installation

Micro-Folie is a cultural project organised around three focal points: the Musée numérique (Digital Museum), the Little Folie café and the Atelier (Workshop). A place where you can spend some time and meet others, promote local initiatives and also stimulate creativity and innovation around cooperation and the exchange of knowledge. This project, initiated by Didier Fusillier, President of La Villette, brings together the Château de Versailles, the Musée d’Orsay, the Centre Georges Pompidou, the Musée du Louvre, the Musée Picasso, the Musée du Quai Branly, the Philarmonie de Paris, the RMN and Universcience.
Since the opening of the first Micro-Folie in Sevran in January 2017, followed by those in Lille and Denain last summer, the Micro-Folie network has grown with openings in Avignon, Izmir (Turkey) and Rangoon (Myanmar).

Its Musée numérique (Digital Museum), produced by Bachibouzouk, brings together masterpieces from the partner institutions in digital form (tablets, giant screens, virtual reality…). This virtual art gallery is a unique cultural offering. Each circuit provides aid and actions for better understanding.

Equipped with a technical light and sound kit, the digital zone is easily transformed into a stage setting where artists, associations or amateurs can rehearse or put on shows. The Micro-Folie becomes a place where events can be regularly programmed.
